This section highlights the most commonly used application of this architectural element. In California, with the abundance of stucco buildings, designers and architects enjoy insetting a bas- relief panel into a wall in order to break up the blandness of the stucco surface. A motif in the apex or above a window adds a very unique and stylish natural element to a building.

Prices range from $55 to $95 a square foot, depending on the size of the order, and the detail of the carving.
